August 2015 - Turning Points

August 16, 2015:  Although summer is not over yet, it has been a great one with lots of gigs, making new friends and making new acquaintances.  I am forever grateful of this.  The band's last show was yesterday at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters 40th anniversary at their RibFest.  We won't be going on stage for the next 2 months, I need a break to catch my breath again. There is a CD to be completed. The past 7 years was hectic as I was the one doing the bookings, the managing, the PR and of course the performing.  I have one more event this month before my time off starts. It is the Asian Canadian Wikipedia event called "The Ginger Garden" This will be the first time I will speak of my artistic affairs to the general public. In the past I've been invited to speak and lecture at various universities about the ins and outs of business and the corporate world. I am honored to have been invited by the Asian Canadian Wikipedia group to share my experiences as an Asian artist.

When all that is done...I look forward to the down time, to bring back the energy that I so need to bulldoze through this labyrinth of the business of performing, to hear and see other people's works, to be re-inspired by what life has to offer, to take care of myself and myself alone...basically to stop at these crossroads and just stand there for a moment in time.

Enjoy your summer, enjoy your moments and hug the ones you love.
