It has been 5 days since the Lys Blues Gala and things have been going so fast. This year marked it's 10th anniversary and as announced in our previous news bulletin, we were honoured with nominations in 2 categories: "Artiste Féminin" (Best Female Artist) and "Album Blues et Styles Associés de l'Année" (Best Blues & Associated Styles Album of the Year) for "Original Sin".
The Gala was held last Sunday, April 23 at Théâtre Plaza on St Hubert Street in Montreal and I am delighted to announce that Original Sin won the award for "Album Blues et Styles Associés de l'Année" (Best Blues & Associated Styles Album of the Year)!! What a thrill it is and to top it off, just to be nominated with the likes of Dawn Tyler Watson and Angel Forrest for "Artiste Féminin" is a total honour in itself. The winners were chosen by the public and you voted!! To be chosen by our peers...WOW! There aren't enough words to express our gratitude for the support you gave us throughout the year, but you can surely count on us to keep pushing the evolution of the Blues in our 3rd album.
