AAQ West Island Bookend - Beaconsfield, Qc
QC H9W 4A7, Canada
The Bookend Performance is held in a non-traditional venue (40 seats) wherein music bookends the written word. Carolyn Fe & Jean-Francois open and close this event with words from three prolific authors who will read from their most recent works. Something about the authors:
Helen Antoniou is an executive coach for corporate leaders and family business owners, as well as a volunteer board member in the areas of health, education, and the arts. She has practised corporate law and management consulting and holds master’s degrees from the universities of Paris II and Harvard. She is Eric Molson’s daughter-in-law. Her most recent work, Back to Beer...and Hockey offers intimate details of the life and work of Eric Molson's evolution from a young brewmaster captivated by the chemistry of beer-making to chairman of Molson.
Trevor Ferguson, a.k.a. John Farrow, is the author of nine novels and four plays. He has been called Canada’s best novelist both in Books in Canada and the Toronto Star. He was raised in Montreal and lives in Hudson, Quebec. He will read from Perish the Day; a riveting new mystery from the author who "brings a literary fiction writer's sensitivity to nuance and feel for landscape to this fine, character-rich thriller with a bang-up finish"
Sheila Kindellan-Sheehan holds an M.A. in English from Concordia University. Her work has been published in The Globe and Mail and read on CBC’s First Person Singular. Kindellan-Sheehan taught for 22 years at St. Thomas High School in Pointe-Claire, and prior to that, at Father MacDonald High School in St-Laurent for five years. She will read from In The Shadows, a new high-octane detective thriller.
